now some hands may be kind, but they’re too fast for me.
i can’t breathe in this room. the dark is all i see
i might pray to the knife for the first time in weeks
if i get myself first, then you’ll never get to hurt me.

it hits me. i don’t know what’s wrong. it’s still your victory, you’ll still make the end of me.
you said they’d take me, all of your armies, but i don’t think they’d believe
anything you speak.
i stare blankly. nothing’s in front of me. i can’t hear them calling, trying to retrieve me.
